Timeless Impressions:Â The Art of British Printed Ceramics, 18th-20th century
The application of engraving to British ceramics transformed pottery and porcelain design. Initially used on expensive porcelain, improvements in technique and technology soon made printing affordable and widely adopted across earthenware and bone china. For over 250 years, printed decoration has been a hallmark of British ceramics.
